Description
This high level course is designed for HR professionals and managers covering the main reasons GP’s and employees seek to be signed-off under the guise of work-related stress. What the employer should and could to do next to swiftly conclude the employees’ returns to work, to their and the organisations, satisfaction (perhaps with agreed reasonable workplace adjustments) or the employee leaves the organisation legally and with goodwill preserved.
- Delivered by Lynda Bruce
- Duration 60 minutes, online
When a member of your team goes off on sick leave citing work related stress, HR and the managers involved want to do the right things by the company as a whole, the rest of the team and for the employee who is off. Often there is a fear around making the situation worse and/or doing or saying something that will leave the employer open to legal proceedings. There are many horror stories around employees being off sick for extended periods of time with no end in sight. This is hugely damaging for the company and for the employee. Fear not, this course aids employers by providing the most up-to-date information and a procedure to follow to support the most positive outcomes for both employer and employee.
This course covers:
- What is the correct documentation
- What are the time frames for contact
- Legal requirements
- Why get occupational health involved
- Repercussions of getting it wrong
By the end of this course, participants will have a very clear understanding of the do’s and don’ts to reach successful resolution, in cases of work related stress absence.
